Important Message: 

The Academy Convening is a gathering for activists, advocates, program people, service providers, researchers in the safe abortion rights movement to meet network, interact engage and learn with each other.

In the current landscape with the relentless push back against rights based gender sensitive and feminist agenda there are very few forums where we can engage in such conversations, which are timely and critical.

As organizers we have all worked to create a safe and inclusive space for people from across regions, representing different ethnic and linguistic groups and across gender identities and sexualities. We request everyone to be respectful towards each other and celebrate the diversity of people and ideas that you will find at Convening.

We are also creating an agenda that is broad based yet with deeper engagement on some core issues, bringing together unique and hands on workshops activities as well as plenary sessions to make this a memorable and enriching experience for you!
